After a Brief Hiatus, The Tie Returns
"We've noticed the absence of ties over the past few seasons. Designers have opted to style runway shows with turtlenecks, open shirts, or scarves. While celebrities (and GQ) have embraced the air tie. That's all well and good of course, but a dispatch from creative director Jim Moore at Pitti Uomo says the tides are changing:
"We're seeing that the tie is back, which is a huge thing. The tie business is alive and kicking at Pitti Uomo. The retailers were talking about it, and the tie companies have bolstered up again. It felt really good to see ties mixing patterns with sack suits. The tie was the focal point again."
